For those of you that know me, know how much I like Triple D on the Food Network. Below is a list of all the places that Guy Fieri has been to (SO FAR!) in Pittsburgh. The majority have websites so you can check out the menu before you visit. I am on a mission to visit each place in the burgh, only 2 down so far but what great trips they have been. If you have been to any of these places please post a comment letting me know what they are like or what to try when I visit!

I eat at Crystal’s all the time and am dying to see her episode on DDD. If you make it there, you have to try her hummus as an appetizer– I know hummus isn’t THAT exciting, but it’s way better than any I’ve ever had from a tub at the store!

I have to tell yinz about the dinner experience my wife and I had at Big Jim’s, episode 505. My story could go on and on, but in an effort not to bash this dive to death i will condense it…………..S T I N K S,,,,,,,, my wife will tell yinz that i am a very hard man to please food wise. Ive come from an italian family that had sauce every Sunday for 25 years at grannys house. We live in a predominately Italian neighborhood and have eaten at many many italian restaraunts. However I could not eat the meal that was served to me. The sauce tasted bland and the meatballs tasted terrible, to the point that after ony a few bites i refused to eat any more. The waitress asked if I would like to try something else and for being afraid that everything would taste the same I said no thanks. In all fairness this is Big Jims Roadhouse (the one Guy didn’t visit). Maybe he should visit his tax write off and manage this place like the other one and possibly even turn a profit, as there are no good Italian restarants in Bridgeville. The lot is always empty and now i know why. Now i’m curious what Guy’s pallette was thinking? We are new to our neighborhood and was scoping out the local cuisine. Big Jims Roadhouse is off the list. Not sure if even the great Chef Ramsey could save this joint. Wake up Jimbo save Bridgeville. We want G O O D food. Also, please no more micro waved sauce or old meatballs.
Ate at Dor Stop, also based on DDD episode & fact we moved to a nearby town. Was as good as they said; hubby tried pancakes & I had egg dish & we shared potato pancakes. Loved all of them & want to go back & try more. They have a list of interesting pancake flavors
I would like for you to try a really nice place called Frank & Shirleys , over here in Pittsburg. My girlfriend and I think it needs a upsated.
We are going on a Thursday to Friday and I want to try Nadine’sssince its my Step mother’s name…and Kelly O’s sincei knknow a Kelly O…lol…touch base when I get there
just a little note: i’ve seen other places say that the Kelly O’s was the ELEVENTH not the tenth episode. and it was titled Regional Classics…. i havent seen it yet, but thought it might be worth checking out.
Cool blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple adjustements would really make my blog
shine. Please let me know where you got your theme.
Thank you
I got my theme from wordpress. I don’t remember the design name, I just sorted through the designs and picked this one lol.
Ate at Kelly O’s in the Strip District one Sunday morning…..Had the Crab Eggs Benedict… It was EXCELLENT !!!!!! The hollandaise sauce was phenomenal. I would eat it again !!! The service was excellent too. I’ll be back !!!!
